Polihale Beach is one of Kauai’s most remote and awe-inspiring destinations, stretching for nearly 15 miles along the island’s rugged west side. Its expansive golden sand, towering dunes, and breathtaking views of the Na Pali Coast create an unforgettable setting unlike anywhere else on the island. Reaching Polihale requires driving a long, unpaved road, but those who make the journey are rewarded with incredible sunsets, wide-open beaches, and a true sense of old Hawaii.
Due to strong currents, powerful shore break, and unpredictable ocean conditions, swimming at Polihale Beach is not recommended at any time of year.
